Here’s what our Customers and fellow businesses in our industry have to say about us!

For several years, I have dealt with numerous so called ‘custom car fabrication shops’.  Needless to say, they were all complete nightmares to deal with until I met Robbie Azevedo, owner of and fabricator at Pacific Coast Customs.  What got my attention of possibly working with Robbie was when I first saw project “48 Impression” in person. The amazing work, unique ideas, attention to detail, and the simple “wow” factor were what made me think he may be the guy I have been looking for to help me with my vehicle projects.  I talked to Robbie and explained my first situation (a ’99 GMC Sonoma that Mattel made a Hot Wheels toy called, “Steel Flame” that needed a lot of TLC). Soon the truck was dropped off at Pacific Coast Customs where Robbie did his magic on the truck. He basically tore the truck apart and rebuilt it. From the fabrication work, air ride suspension, engine, stereo, wiring / electrical problems, and everything in between, the truck was soon put back together and all was in better running shape than it was to begin with. I was overly satisfied with the entire process of working with Robbie. He was very professional, organized, honest, and trust worthy. With great work ethics he went the extra mile to get everything fixed not only properly, but looking great! He returns all emails and phone calls in a timely manner along with pictures and detailed information of the progress of the work on the truck. Going on 5 years now, I have not once had any problems with anything that Robbie has worked on. I was so thrilled with the work Robbie did that I have chosen him to build my dream vehicle,  a ground up build that is going to simply be amazing. So far, the work on this build that Robbie has done has blown me away along with everyone else that has seen it.  Robbie is a perfectionist.  Along with the unique, one off designs and ideas that he is coming up with, he has gone above and beyond all of my expectations.  I can’t wait to see what he has in store next!

As an automotive artist and hot rod designer, I’ve been fortunate to work with many shops, builders, and even some legendary figures in the industry. It’s always an honor to work with a craftsman, but a rarity to find one who also possesses not only the skills to build something, but also an inherent artistic vision and ability to conceptualize an idea.

Robbie has the artistic mind to visualize an idea, and then work with an artist to get the vision on paper. Along this path of conceptualization, you start to see where he really shines: In the details. While throwing ideas around, one of us would be looking at something, and pondering how to tie everything together, and Robbie would be concentrating on a minute detail that quite often held the key to making something just work. It sounds simple enough, but it’s a skill that few bring to the table time and again, and makes working with Robbie a pleasure.

When creating any successful project, it’s important to have a plan, and Robbie not only understands and practices this belief, but his communication throughout the planning and rendering stages is concise, and assists in creating easy-to-follow concepts for the project’s owner.Working with a talented builder like Robbie is  pleasure, not only from an artist’s point of view, but also from the perspective of someone who genuinely loves hot rods and custom cars. After all, there’s nothing more beautiful than a great idea that comes together, and Robbie has the skills to make that happen consistently. It’s an honor to be witnessing the career of a future legend from the front row.

Robbie at Pacific Coast Customs has been working on my 2008 Denali AWD SUV. I purchased the truck brand new in early 08′ and had thoughts of doing a simple off the shelf bag job and big wheels. I guess you could say it was just a test job of sorts, I wasn’t willing to cut up a brand new luxury truck at first, but my confidence in the shops ability to give me exactly what I wanted grew every time I stopped by to visit Robbie and pick his brain about what I really wanted…. Which was a one-off fully custom show truck. He joked one day about laying the truck flat on the ground, I said, GO FOR IT!!!! Well the finished version of a dream truck is fast becoming a reality that has far exceeded all of my expectations and then some. Robbie has a designers eye and the fabrication skills that the industry will be seeing for years to come.

Joanne had been looking for a custom for approximately two years. We purchased a 1950 Ford Custom, 2 door sedan that had previously been streetrodded. After spending time with the car, we realized it needed a lot of mechanical upgrades. Then with a long list, we came to Pacific Coast Customs. Robbie Azevedo’s workmanship, metal fabrication expertise and mechanical work are excellent. Robbie was very easy to work with and stood behind his guarantees. We have returned to Robbie at least three different times with follow-up work and have always been very pleased. In addition, we are planning to bring another car for him to help us with that can’t be performed in our garage.  We highly recommend Robbie for your next project.

Being a long time supplier of cutting edge product for Pacific Coast  Customs I figured it was about time for me to make the drive to wine  country and see the shop. So two months ago I arrived at PCC. The  first thing I noticed was a brand new Yukon getting some major  suspension work and super charger added. On the other side of the shop  was frame table with some of the most creative tube frame and suspension work I have ever seen. The attention to detail was truly amazing ! Most of all even though you can see they have been working there asses off , the shop was very clean and organized. When it was time time handle the business of my trip Robbie took me into the show room where you can view endless amounts of past builds , SEMA builds and Magazine coverage.  My trip to American Canyon made me proud that The Hoffman Group is a partner with Pacific Coast Customs and we can involved with top notch craftsmanship that is put into every build that come out of this shop.

It’s Robbie’s keen eye for integrating new technology and design onto older vehicles that drove us to in trust him with our 1965 Suburban that we had envisioned as a throw back to a 60′s style custom beach cruiser with modern upgrades. We have been very excited with the results thus far on the unique and one off modifications he has done to the exterior, interior, engine and suspension. Thank you Robbie for all your hard work and dedication on our retro Suburban.

Robbie Azevedo and I have worked together on various projects and feature shoots over the past several years. In fact, one of the first features I ever had the opportunity to photograph was one of Robbie’s first iconic and innovative builds. I have seen him apply innovation, ingenuity, unique style tricks and a keen eye for detail on various projects. We have worked with him on tech article builds and features from hot rods to trucks of all vintages to muscle cars and back. Having a shop that pushes the envelope with each build with the talent to back it up is what keeps this industry chiming.

Within the custom world we as magazine Editors and Photographers have the opportunity to work with some pretty cool people with some pretty amazing talent. It also helps when the professionalism and demeanaor of these individuals matches the high quality work they continually roll out of their shops year after year. Back in 2004 I was fortunate enough to meet Robbie Azevedo of Pacific Coast Customs and was introduced to the amazing hot rod building talent of this young craftsman with his unbelievable ’48 Chevy dubbed Impression. Since then has continued to deliver high quality custom trucks, muscle cars and hot rods to the eyes of enthusiasts while maintaining a professional attitude minus arrogance. For professional custom work in California PCC is definitely a shop to check out.
